Been thinking of writing a blog entry all these while...finally got this chance and time to do so.
June holidays are here and work is also here to stay. Been to 2 camps during this period of 2 weeks, and realised that my work is very much neglected, have to get back to it soon.
The first camp was the E-Club camp. Lotsa bonding games, and the Flea market was the highlight of the camp. We were given the chance to sell and market our products in a ulu place called Taman Jurong Shopping Centre. Okay, not very ulu, but it's really HARD to get customers. ZzZ. In the end, we managed to sell a significant number of acessories (that was what i was selling), through going door-to-door and also hard-selling.
The next camp was the National Youth Entrepreneur Camp, the more interesting camp that I attended. Ok, that was not the initial perception that I had. During the pre-camp briefing, all I wanted was to go home and sleep. Everything seemed boring and restless to me...
Day 1
Games, games and more games. I was late for the first day.
Day 2
Late AGAIN. We were given our tasks from the respective companies. And we chose D-Max, some IT-savvy company. The day seemed long and endless as we worked on our business proposal, and of course, had to brig home to finsih it. Luckily there was this NJ guy in my group that help us complete. =P (i could not make it on the next day)
Day 3
Played a business stategy game called CEO-Match, and was quite fun and more complexed than the Praxis Game that I played earlier this year. As usual, the guys were the ones making the decisions, with occasional help from the girls. Oh ya...the PDA that we were using went bonkers at the last 15 mins, and we did not manage to sell what we had originally produced. For this, I really thought that our group was going to lose. But the results shown the very next day proved otherwise.
Day 4
Prize Presentation ceremony. Actually I did not expect such great results from our group, as I perceived it to be rather disorganised. However, we managed to win two trophies! One from the business proposal and the other from CEO-Match. Seriously, I think we might not have been able to make it if not for that NJ guy. He was the one to rush out the proposal through the night, as the proposal was due the next day...
All in all, I think my group was the most luckiest to have won 2 tropies at one go! Kudos to Tian Wei from National JC (he's NJ guy I mentioned), Bryan from Maris Stella Secondary(he did the most during the CEO-Match), Cherie from (oops, I forgot what school she's from), Sabrina from CHIJ St Joseph's Convent, and lastly, me. =P WELL DONE GROUP 9! Also, I would like to extend my appreciation to the 2 facilitators, Sandy and Pei Yi from Nanyang JC. Thanks everyone, for making this camp a success!
Ok, that's about all. will add the photos if i have them.
